If you know me, you know I love to create glam spaces in my home. Bathrooms are one of my favorite rooms to work on. It only takes a little bit of effort to make a huge difference in the look of the room! I am going to walk you through five things you can do to create a glam bathroom and get that gorgeous custom look you want without paying tons of money!

Number 1: Create an Accent Wall
Accent walls are always a great idea. You can be as creative as you want here. Three ways I like to create an accent wall are by painting (easiest to do), adding wallpaper, or using custom-cut moulding to frame out parts of the wall. You can see all three of these methods done throughout my home. I painted my master bathroom accent wall (above) with a little darker color than the other walls to make it pop. If I ever decide to update it for a little change, I will consider adding wallpaper to give it a shimmery-textured look. Number 2: Add Glam Lighting
Lighting is my favorite way to add extra bling to a room. There isn’t one room in my home where I haven’t added a nice light fixture. The two vanity lights I have in my master bathroom are from Capitol Lighting. I love the extra sparkle they give the room when the lights are turned on, but they also look beautiful when they are off. Depending upon the size of your bathroom and the placement of your existing lighting, you can decide if you want to add one or two pretty bathroom light fixtures. See some of my favorite glam bathroom light fixtures below (click on images to shop).
Number 3: Use Framed Mirrors
The third thing you can do to glam up your bathroom is to add custom mirrors. This is something I have done in all of my bathrooms. Your new mirrors don’t have to be expensive to make a big difference. You can find beautiful mirrors at HomeGoods for really good prices (I always look there first). Updating your mirrors usually requires removing the builder-grade mirror that is attached to the bathroom wall. We have found that carefully getting behind the mirror (near the adhesive) with a pry bar or other tool and slowly prying it off works best. See below for some of my favorite mirrors you can shop online (click on images to shop).
Number 4: Add Crystal Knobs
This option is probably the easiest thing you can do to add a little more sparkle in your bathroom. Beautiful knobs/pulls can be found at many different places including Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, Home Depot, Lowes, and Target to name just a few. I have added a few of my online favorites below (click on images to shop).
Number 5: Introduce a Statement Piece
Finding the perfect statement piece for your bathroom is so important. It can be a large vase with flowers, beautiful candles, a tray with pretty towels, a large floral arrangement, etc. Whatever you choose, I say let it stand out a little bit more from the rest of your decor so that it can be the center of attention. It will be the final special touch in creating that “wow” factor in your bathroom. See below for some of my favorite bathroom statement pieces (click on images to shop).
There you have it! The top 5 things you can do in your bathroom to create a glam and semi-custom look. Hope this helps any of you who want to glam up your bathroom and don’t know where to start. Please feel free to comment or leave me questions below!
