Little by little, I am adding more touches of Christmas to my home. I just finished decorating my dining room chairs and I received several questions about my DIY dining room chair wreaths. For anyone interested, I thought I would share this easy way to add a little Christmas elegance to your dining room.
What You’ll Need
- mini wreaths for each chair (click here to shop the set of 6 I used)
- ribbon (click here to shop similar red ribbon)
- plastic rhinestone buttons (click here to shop similar buttons)
- optional – brooches instead of small buttons (click here to shop)
- scissors
- pliers
- hot glue gun

Getting Started
The first thing I had to do was to figure out how long I wanted the ribbon to be. I did this by draping it over the chair and determining how far I wanted to the wreath to hang in the back. Then, I cut 6 pieces of ribbon each the same length (1 for each chair). Next, I ran the ribbon through the center of the wreath and then just tucked the ends of the ribbon into the back of the cushion on the front of the chair (see image below).
If you know me, you know I like to add a touch of bling to all my decor! I decided on adding rhinestone buttons (the same ones I used on the front of the chair). I used a pliers to break off the button shank on the back (see image below). Then, using my glue gun, I glued the buttons on the front of the ribbon, right above each wreath. Voila! That is it!
I love how these DIY dining chair wreaths turned out! A super simple, yet elegant way to add a touch of Christmas to your dining room!
